HR and Internal Communications working as one 

When scale-ups and SMEs face rapid growth, restructures, mergers, or major transformations, they often hire HR and internal communications separately. This can lead to misaligned messages, confused employees, and change that stalls.

Karen Dolan (Karen HRM) and I have partnered since 2024 to offer something different: integrated HR and communications support for change and engagement.

How we work: 

We offer flexible arrangements to suit your needs - from full programmes to specific elements like surveys, restructure communications, or engagement initiatives. Available on a project basis, as a fixed package, or through a retained arrangement. 

Karen and I recently guided a restructure and engagement programme at an insurance company. Working to a joint plan we managed the internal communications strategy, the messaging, the formats, ran employee surveys and employee focus groups. This meant that the restructure was well implemented and received, with continued staff engagement throughout the process.

Survey for the Highways Sector Council of UK highways employees to inform a strategic recruitment campaign and  improvements to help make the industry a career of choice.

Employee engagement

At a tech scale-up, I set up and managed and employee resource group, managed their employee survey, updated the company values with employee involvement and introduced an annual award.
